We love Carrie Collins and her Fabric Horse

We first found out about Fabric Horse from Park + Vine customer Chelsea VandeDrink. We love Fabric Horse. Carrie Collins started this little business right here in Cincinnati in 2003 while studying industrial design at the University of Cincinnati.

Carrie has since relocated her creative operation to Philadelphia where she and her crew hand-sew utility belts, fannies and bags for bike geeks everywhere. While we’d be much better off with Fabric Horse still in Cincinnati, at least locals can find their wares here at Park + Vine.

Our latest acquisition is the very cool Seatbelt Bag ($99). The ideal size for everyday use, it clips across the chest with a repurposed belt buckle. The buckle and straps are both cultivated from local junk yards. The bag itself is made of either reused or recycled materials along with new fabrics such as waterproof vinyl scraps and recycled banners.
