Pedal into spring with your bicycle on the first Bike Bop of the year 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10. This 10-mile (or so) ride starts at Park + Vine and meanders to the new Green Learning Station at Civic Garden Center. Space is limited to first 20 people who RSVP info@parkandvine.com. Group stops at Mac’s Pizza Pub in Clifton Heights for grub and hydration. Helmet required.

Civic Garden Center transformed an empty lot and gas station at Oak and Reading into this hands-on learning laboratory in 2011. Students and adults discover how to apply sustainable practices to their gardens and the systems (water, waste, soil) that support them, with a strong focus on growing healthy food and keeping storm water where it falls.
