100 percent biodegradable umbrella
Park + Vine just introduced the Brelli, a 100 percent biodegradable plastic umbrella. The parasol-like design is sturdy enough to withstand heavy rain and wind. Its structure is made from bamboo (a renewable resource) so you won’t contribute to the crowd of traditional umbrellas littering city streets. Here’s the environmental benefit: the gas the umbrella releases in a conditional landfill can be harvested to generate enough electricity to recoup more than 90 percent of the energy that was used to create it.
